State to launch new programme 'Indramma Baata


Hyderabad, July 10 (INN): The State Government is launching a unique and Innovative Programme called �Indiramma Baata� to ensure that benefits of all the welfare programmes reach the deserving poor in the State.

According to a media release by the Chief Minister's Office, the Programme involves the Chief Minister, Ministers and elected representatives who will go to the village and personally interact with the people regarding the programmes and enquire whether they are reaching them. Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy held detailed discussions with the available ministers on �Indiramma Baata� at him camp office on Tuesday. The Chief Minister hoped that along with him, Ministers in charge of Flagship programmes, District In-charge Ministers would tour extensively and hopes to complete "Indiramma Baata" in at least 100 Assembly segments in one month period. "We have to inform the public about the welfare programmes reaching them and to find out if there are any gaps in the implementation and hence directions can be given to the administration for rectification", the Chief Minister added.
Ministers Botsa Satyannarayana, K Jana Reddy, A Ramnarayana Reddy, S Vijayarama Raju, K Lakshminarayana, Dr J Geetha Reddy, Sabitha Indra Reddy, Suneetha Lakshma Reddy, M Maheedhara Reddy, B Sudershan Reddy, Vatti Vasanthakumar, P Satyannarayana, K Pathasarathy, D Nagender, S Sailajanath, M Mukhesh Goud, B Saraiah, Ahmadullah, Kondru Murali, G Prasad Kumar attended the meeting. Chief Secretary Minie Mathew, Principal Secretaries of various departments and other senior officials attended. According to the CMO releae, the objectives of Indiramma Baata would be to assess whether the benefits were reaching the deserving poor. It will also find out the gaps in implementation and to rectify them for time bound implementation. All Flagship programmes would be reviewed and monitored in the field. The strategy would be to inspect the works and interact with Target Group stakeholders and beneficiaries directly. Surprise inspection of Schools/Hostels/Hospitals/FP Shops/Bank Branch/Anganwadi/Nutrition cum Day Care Centres (NDCC) etc., would be held. Review meetings will be held with officials to speed up implementation of programmes.
The State Government has identified the following schemes as Flagship programmes: Rs 1 per Kg Rice Scheme, Indiramma Housing, MGNREGA/Indira Jala Prabha, Farmers - Zero Vaddi,Women SHGs - Vaddi leni runaalu, Youth - Rajiv Yuva Kiranaalu, Govt Jobs Jaathara, AArogyasri, 108,104 and hospitals, Irrigation, Education - Scholarships and Mid-day Meals, Pensions, Free-power, Mee Seva, Welfare (Farmers, Women, Youth, SC/ST/BC/Minorities etc.). The proposed �Indiramma Baata� will be for three-days. On the first day, inspection of PHC/CHC/Hospital, MGNREGS/IJP, Housing Colony, Community lunch/dinner, inter-action with IKP members, Inspection of F P Shop, interaction with Aarogyasri patients, inspection of SC/ST hostel/Residential School, dinner with boarders and night halt in hostel/Ashram School will be done. The next day, inspection of Jalayagnam Project site and other irrigation project, visit to farmers' fields and interaction with farmers, visit to Rajiv Yuva Kiranaalu Training Centre and interaction with the youth, lunch with youth, visit to weavers/Fishermen colony and interaction, Visit to Tribal thanda, interaction and dinner at Tribal welfare Hostel/Ashram School and night halt will be taken up.
On the last day of the programme review of flagship programmes, meeting and lunch with non-officials will be done, the CMO release added. (INN)
